U17 tram to “Holsterhauser Platz” stop; bus no. 160/161 to “Klinikum” stop
The “Am Mühlenbach” address is accessible by car only via “Virchowstraße” and not via “Holsterhauser Straße” or “Halbe Höhe”. Please use “Virchowstraße 183” as the destination address for your satnav. There is a multi-storey car park in the immediate vicinity of WPE (“Parkhaus 2” at address “Virchowstraße 180”).
From Düsseldorf Airport you can get to WPE by public transport (S1, RE 1, RE 6, RE 11 trains) to Essen Central Station, or by taxi or hire car or personal vehicle.
There is limited free parking outside WPE (please note the maximum parking time!) There are also pay-and-display multi-storey car parks at the main entrance to the University Hospital in Hufelandstraße and in Virchowstraße. Entry and exit are permitted here at any time of day or night.
