From Duesseldorf airport (nearest airport to venue)

You have to take the “SkyTrain” at Duesseldorf Airport to get from the Terminal to the Trainstation, 7 min. ride. You need a ticket at the short-haul fare. This costs 2.20 EUR. You will find vending machines at the SkyTrain stations.

Then you can use different trains from Duesseldorf Airport to Essen Main Station (S1, RE1, RE2, RE6, RE11). The journey takes between 22 and 37 min. without changing trains, 15.60 EUR/one way.

As mentioned before, the venue is a 3-minute walk from Essen Main Station (Essen Hauptbahnhof).

Alternatively, you can take a taxi from Duesseldorf Airport. This will incur costs of 70.00 to 80.00 EUR to e.g. Essen Main Station and takes 30 to 40 minutes. You can pay via credit card but we would also recommend taking cash with you.

Entry requirements

If you live in one of the following countries you need to apply for a ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System). The application process takes around 10 to 20 minutes and costs 7.00 EUR.
